NH Sure Loves Ice Cream! #FavoriteShops

It's been hot out there this summer and there is no better way to cool off than with some ice cream! New Hampshire is loaded with ice cream shops, big and small, and I've done my research to find some of the stand outs.

Beech Hill Farm (Hopkinton)

At Beech Hill Farm, not only do you get delicious ice cream, but a whole experience. Enjoy your ice cream while visiting a variety of farm animals, doing a corn maze, viewing the garden, or shopping New Hampshire goodies in the country store. Beech Hill Farm offers over 75 flavors of ice cream- all made in New England! They also offer low fat yogurts and sherbets. One thing you have to try at Beech Hill Farm is their home made waffle cones!

At Sanctuary, you can enjoy your ice cream knowing it was made from quality ingredients and through a sustainable process. These recipes have been perfected, as the family has been running their dairy farm since the 1700s! All of their ice cream flavors are made one batch at a time, so you know you are getting the freshest ingredients in every bite. They also offer dairy free and sugar free options, as well as gelato!

At Memories, you can enjoy home made ice cream in a beautiful barn setting. The most exciting thing about this spot, is that they offer several vegan and dairy free options, as well as ice cream cakes! They have a couple of staple vegan flavors but also change up their menu daily. One thing you have to try is the vegan soft serve!! If you have a birthday or event coming up, make sure to order a custom ice cream cake!

The Ice House Restaurant (Rye, Newcastle, & Portsmouth)

With 3 locations across New Hampshire, you can't miss The Ice House for your next ice cream outing! They have been around since the 80's and offer a full menu in addition to ice cream. Here you can order a variety of ice cream treats like frappes, sherbet freezes, ice cream sodas, banana splits, floats, and malts! They also offer specialty sundaes with some pretty amazing combos. One of my favorites is the Pina Colada Sundae (pineapple topping covered with coconut, whipped cream and walnuts)!

Ilsley's is definitely on the must try ice cream list. They offer a variety of homemade ice cream flavors. One of my favorites is the ice cream cookie sandwiches- so yummy! They make some unique flavors such as honey sunflower, after dinner mint, brown sugar oatmeal and chocolate overload. They were also voted the #1 ice cream spot by WMUR this summer!

Let me know of any I missed, so I can make sure to head over there... for research! :)

Thanks for reading!
